Editor's pick Sometimes when we run across an interesting/unusual/informative book, especially an old and out-of-print one, we like to bring it to your attention. Here's one: Miller, Marshall Lee. Bulgaria during the Second World War. Stanford, CA: Stanford University Press, 1975 Not a rip-roaring combat narrative, but a fine example of a political/diplomatic history of the sort it would be nice to have for each nation during the war years. In this case, Bulgaria probably wins the "least effective diplomacy" award for finding itself in 1944 simultaneously at war with the Soviet Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany....
