Who I Am and What I'm Doing -- This is the webpage of Jason Thompson, author, manga fan and artist of the webcomic The Stiff. My encyclopedia of translated manga and introduction to the manga field, Manga: The Complete Guide, is available in stores now. I also write for Otaku USA Magazine. My current comics projects include short adaptations of H.P. Lovecraft's CELEPHAIS and THE STRANGE HIGH HOUSE IN THE MIST, which will hopefully be completed in summer 2007. My adaptation of THE WHITE SHIP is available at girlamatic.com, although currently the pages are only accessible to site subscribers.

Latest News -- Unfortunately, due to workload and schedule issues, I will not be able to attend the Stumptown Comics Fest in Portland, Oregon on April 26-27 as previously planned. I apologize to anyone who was hoping to see me there. "Manga: The Complete Guide" has been nominated for an Eisner award, however, so I will definitely be at the San Diego Comic-Con, as well as Anime Expo. Please see my livejournal for information about other public appearances. (I update the livejournal a lot more often.)
