Now that your perennials
have made their appearance,
it's time to divide them.
    This not only thins them
out and makes for a re-
newed clump of flowering
plants, but gives you new
clumps to plant, increasing
your plantings at no cost.
    The only perennials that
do not like dividing are
tap-rooted ones like
Butterfly Weed, Colum-
bines, and Dicentra.
