APGR 72 Design Plan for Project 2
Topic/purpose: This is to be a web site to sell reproductions of my father’s artwork.
Target audience: Those who enjoy fine art and like to have something different than the popular artists who have prints in almost every store and/or gallery. The cards will be particularly nice for those who have either known him or bought his art in the past. This way they can share with their friends without investing much money.
It would be nice to be able to reach in particular those who have enjoyed his work in the past but, that would be hard to reach unless there was major advertising done for the site.
Design concept: I want a nice calm feeling to the site that would make someone amenable to relaxing and looking at the product offered. Not boring or they might lose interest. I hope that I can find that happy medium where interest is piqued and then satisfied by the content. I am looking towards using serene, harmonious colors and a generous supply of artwork.
Content: The site will contain images of my father’s watercolor paintings in various configurations. There will be prints, large, small, and card size, also his biography and information about why we are going forward with this project.
