As you continue your study of karate, perhaps
the most important point to stress is patience .
There is nothing magical about karate. Anyone
can become a yellow belt, a black belt, or a
master if they have patience and are willing
to train. If, during your practice, you find
something a little difficult, remember: be patient,
take your time, and keep trying.
The second important point to emphasize with
karate training is this: feel free to ask questions
of the instructors or other students if you are
confused about some point. We all learn together
and asking questions is an important part of
the learning process. If you feel frustrated
or discouraged with your progress for any reason,
before stopping your training consider calling
your instructor to make an appointment to talk
about your concerns.
Again, welcome, and enjoy your practice in the
art of Shotokan karate! |
