Choose a certified school.

Make sure that the Japan Karate Association World Federation certifies the school you choose. Japan is recognized as the world leader in martial arts training. Ask to see their certification papers because not all Karate, Judo, Aikido and Taekwondo schools are certified.

Make sure all instructors are certified.

All instructors should be certified. This will help insure that you are getting the best instruction available.

Step#3

Ask to see references and testimonials.

A quality school should be able to provide you with ample references and testimonials. Also, ask to talk with some of the parents.
