2007 - We are about to start a big
promotional campaign for Car-Free Day. Our goal is quite simple - to get
thousands of Sebastopolians to drive less, to walk and bike more, carpool
and take public transit.
Specifically
we would like them to not drive the first Sunday of each month. If they must
drive that day, we ask them to carpool and plan their trip carefully, and
pick another day to be car-free.
We are not asking to close streets or limit shopping activities. Matter of
fact we are asking businesses to support these efforts and reward folks that
arrive at their business without a car. More on that shortly.

Please note these dates now,
so when planning an outing a car-free reminder is already in place.
All events are free except for restaurant lunches. Bike safety classes will
be added as scheduled.
All walks and bike rides depart from the Sebastopol Plaza across from Whole
Foods.
Community Bikes is located at 4009 Sebastopol Rd at Fulton/Wright near the
Joe Rodota Trail
