Past Acting Commander
Terry Thurman

I was born in Missoula, Montana. We moved to Ukiah in 1962 and
then to Santa Rosa in 1966, where I attended Piner High School
and the SRJC. I enlisted in the Air Force in Dec 1975. I
attended my Tech school in Denver. My job was "repair and
calibration of electronic test equipment". I was then stationed at Shaw AFB in South Carolina for 1.5 years then sent to San Vito AS in Italy for 1.5 years. After I was honorably discharged in
1979, I enlisted in the Air National Guard. I eventually retired from the Military with 21 years of service. I have spent the past 26 years working for the Santa Rosa Post Office, in varying
capacities. I was a carrier for 10 years and a Vending Machine
Tech for 16 years. I have been in Post 21 for the past 10 years.
