DEDUCTIVE REASONING

A man is in his yard when his new next door neighbor comes over to introduce himself. Through the course of conversation, the neighbor asked the man what he did for a living. The man replied that he was a salesman. He then asked the neighbor what he did for a living. The neighbor said that he was a teacher for the local college and he taught deductive reasoning.

Not being sure, the man asked what deductive reasoning was. The neighbor said that he could best explain it by an example. The neighbor went on to say that because he saw that the man had a doghouse in the back yard that he must have a dog. The man agreed and said that he had a yellow lab. The teacher then deduced that the man must be a family man; the man agreed saying that he had three children. The teacher then said that the man must be married and a therefore a heterosexual. The man said that the teacher was right on both counts. The teacher then explained that he figured all of that out by seeing the dog house and deducing the rest.

The man went to work the next day and told a co-worker that he had met his new neighbor and that the neighbor was a teacher at the local college and that he taught deductive reasoning. Not knowing what deductive reasoning was, he asked for an explanation. The man asked his co-worker if he had a dog house. The co-worker said no he did not. The man the said, "Well then you're a faggot."
