Wildlife Fawn Rescue Needs Help Raising Fawns

Male released to the wild
Young male is released back to the wild.

Wildlife Fawn Rescue is looking for a responsible Sonoma County homeowner to set up an out-shelter facility on which to raise three to four fawns per year.

A large, remote acreage is required. The fawns would be stabilized at the Fawn Rescue Facility and then transported to the out-shelter where they are raised for four months. Once they are weaned, recognize their natural foods, and are well-prepared to live on their own, the gate is opened and they are released to live in the surrounding territory. This is an ideal, gentle, non-stressful release.

Please call Melania Mahoney, Director, at 707.291.8151 for further details.

Three fawns are transferred to a satellite site where they will be raised and then released.
