Is with an overwhelming sense of sadness that I have to announce that I will no longer continue my association with the shelter. After two years of maintaining the web site, I find that the shelter is considering a policy that would recommend owners use 'crate training' for dogs. I do not want to be even indirectly responsible for a dog being subjected to this practice.

I would like to thank these people for their incredible support: Nancee Tavares, the former Director of the Shelter, who saw the potential of a web site for the shelter and supported it with enthusiasm.
