- ELDRIDGE GRADE
- Intro: This is a classic Mt. Tam trail that will take you on a 2,300' climb from the base of the mountain to the top. It's about a 16 mile round trip with great views of the Bay Area.

- Directions To the Start: Hwy 101 to Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Head West to the Town of Ross and turn Left onto Lagunitas Road to the end. There is a parking lot in the park at the end of the paved road.

- The Ride: From the parking lot head up the fire road to Phoenix Lake. Continue right around the lake. You will come to a 3 way intersection where you will make a sharp left onto Eldridge Grade and the start of the real climbing. This is a moderate climb on fire roads all the way to the top. You will come to several intersections. The first one you will turn left past the water faucet. At then next one which will be Lake view Trail and Eldride about half way up, you will turn left and continue uphill. The last intersection before reaching the top is with Indian Fire Trail and Eldridge, veer right uphill to stay on Eldridge. You will come out onto the paved road East Ridge Crest, turn left to get to the main parking area on top of the mountain and enjoy the views. Where you will be rewarded with view of the entire bay area.

- PINE MOUNTAIN LOOP
- Intro: Pine Mountain Loop is great 13 miles fire road loop ride just North of Mt. Tamalpais. The trail is rocky and steep with magnificent views of Marin County.

- Directions To the Start: From Hwy 101 take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd. exit and head West to the Town of Fairfax. From downtown turn left on Bolinas/Fairfax Road off Broadway. Continue up Bolinas/Fairfax Road past the Meadow Club Golf Course to the crest of the hill. You will see a dirt parking lot on the left side of the road, park here. Directly across from the parking area is the fire road gate and the start of Pine Mountain Loop.

- The Ride: Head up the trail don't be fooled by the short downhill section, you will soon be climbing again. You will come to a split where San Geronimo rd. takes you right. Stay left and continue on Pine Mtn. rd. You will soon be starting the steepest part of the ride. Once you crest the top of Pine Mtn. You will enjoy a roller coaster ride down to Kent Lake. Continue around the lake and take San Geronimo rd back up to Pine Mtn. rd. Just before you hook back up to Pine Mtn. You will ride past the legendary Repack trail. The Repack trail was home to the first Mtn bike races in the mid 70's. It was really a downhill race on clunker bikes that needed to have the hubs repacked with grease after each run - hence the name Repack. Once you hook back up to Pine Mtn rd. just continue straight to the parking area.
