| Jack--all time best cat ever. He was a
stray kitten who adopted us when we lived in Ashland,
Oregon. Although he bore the middle name of Rat-Head (due
to some wildness when young), he was laid back and
confident. He had a distinctive voice, similar to a goat,
and a wonderful eraser nose. Also known as Tomato Man. After a house move, Jack got out and disappeared. A few days later, after looking everywhere in our new neighborhood, we drove to our old house, about 4 miles away. There was Jack, waiting for us. We took him home to the new house and he made no further attempt to escape. Did he chart his course by the heavens, or did he just hail a cab? |
