River Flows
California River Flow Info
The California Data Exchange Center provides web resources used to obtain California river flow information. The USGS also provides web resources for most other rivers located in the US.
This page provides a simple way to see desired information from those sources. Click on the 3 day, 10 day or 30 day areas to request flow data for the rivers you're interested in. The "Station Info" URLs will let you see the CDEC data gathering stations. "Map" URLs will display a map of the area surrounding the station or sensor which can be quite useful. Some Map URLs may take a while to load from time to time, so be patient. Click on the river names below to go to the appropriate spot on this page.

Western States River Flows
Information on most other western rivers is through the USGS Real-Time Water Data server. Maps are available through the US Census Digital Map Database. I plan to add more map links to the rivers below as time permits.
Weather Pictures
The following pictures show the stuff that comes from out over the Pacific Ocean. I'll look for more sources later as I find the time to make this section a little more polished and complete.
West Coast Satellite Image
This image comes from The Weather Channel. Click
here to see weather coming from the west in the next few days.
Wide Angle Satellite Views
These images of the West Coast and the Pacific are taken from satellites at various altitudes. All are updated at 15 minute intervals.
Please let me know if you have any problems with this page
or if any of the links appear not to work.
