Introduction

I am a small shop in northern California that specializes in generating end-user documentation for software manufacturers. I provide needed documentation without the costs associated with hiring, managing and supporting a full-time employee or department. Most people may not need a full-time documentation expert, and that's where I come in.

Copy Proofing

I also perform reliable proofreading and copy editing. I find and correct all the word errors, punctuation slips, grammatical faults and formatting errors that make documentation either hard to read or just plain inaccurate. Anyone who produces material intended to be read - installation instructions, tutorials, reference manuals, technical reports, promotional materials, a Website or a book - needs the services of a proofreader.

Skills

I have a proven ability to generate end-user documentation for software. I can effectively design printed material in order to get and hold a particular audience's attention.

I understand and am familiar with documentation methods and graphic art techniques used in word processing and desktop publishing.

I have a keen aptitude for technical matters and can effectively gather information from engineers, reports and other sources. I have developed my interviewing skills to enable a systematized collection of project information. My sleuthing skills are well honed.

I work well under pressure and require minimal supervision.
