This is an informal
group (not affiliated with the church - they graciously provide us with
a free meeting place) which meets to give each other hope and support.
We have occasional guest speakers, but the biggest number of the meetings
are for sharing our feelings and information. We believe that a positive
attitude is important to improvement, and strive to keep our meetings
upbeat and cheerful.

the cost of printing and other miscellaneous supplies for our group. Monthly

Sherman
Oaks FMS Support Group
For
people with FMS and CFS. Our group strives to focus in on all possible
directions or avenues to help ourselves better with our Fibromyalgia so
that we might have some quality of life and live a productive life. All
meetings are fragrance-free.
Meetings
Third Wednesday of each month except for July, August and December. The
meetings are from 7:30-9 PM, in the Doctor's Conference Room (1st.
Floor) of the Sherman Oaks Hospital, 4927 Van Nuys Blvd, Sherman Oaks
(map).
The cross streets are Addison and Huston and we are located on the West
side of the street. On the North side of the hospital you will find a
parking structure. Meetings are fragrance-free.

We are a nonprofit group and there are no membership fees, although we
do pass around a donation basket to help cover the cost of printing and
other miscellaneous supplies that our group needs to run our meetings
effectively. Each month we have a different guest speaker at our support
group meetings to educate us in the different modalities or treatments
that may prove beneficial to us. We have just started this year to incorporate
workshops into our meetings. Besides our regularly meetings we have several
social get-togethers throughout the year as a reminder that we are much
more than our Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and support group meetings.

Meetings
Meets on the third Thursday of each month from 7-9 PM (except for December).
Meetings are held in the Hacienda Heights Room (basement level) at the
Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital, 12401 E. Washington Blvd, Whittier
(map).
The hospital is approximately 3 miles east of the Washington Blvd. exit
of the 605 freeway.
