A few days ago, I placed a fairly hefty order with Amazon.com for Parrish's birthday. The arrival date was estimated as being the 28th/29th of July, which sounded just about right.
Today I checked the order to see where it was, and it appears that something went horribly, horribly wrong. The arrival date has suddenly changed to July 22nd, 2004.
I've set up things to replace it but I'm seriously pissed off that their site screwed the date up that much, especially because it doesn't want to let me cancel! I wrote Amazon.com customer service with a complaint and as soon as they respond, I'm going to either demand they cancel or tell my bank to refuse payment. Grrr.
Posted by moggy at July 25, 2003 02:02 PM | TrackBackI once ordered about twelve books from amazon.com and set it up that I was going to mail them a check. I lost my job that week so I didn't send the check and I forgot to cancel the order.
2.5 years later, I got a mail from amazon.com saying that my books were ready to ship. I cancelled the order because by then I'd bought all those books along the way.
