I was feeling just well enough to go out for a brief bit and indulge myself in a chai frapp at the usual place.

Upon my entering the shop, the clerk gave me a huge grin, waved, then started asking me how my weekend is going. I got my drink, waited in the side room for him to be doing other stuff (so he wouldn't notice me leaving), then left in a crowd of other folks. Somehow he noticed this, and called out after me (in a far-too-cheerful tone) "Hey, Denise, I'll see you soon!"

Yes, we've now officially gone from "friendly" over to "unnerving" -- time to find a new Starbucks to visit, methinks. :-p
