Twerp vs. Twerp?

I'm sitting upstairs in my bedroom, and for once the children outside are being reasonably quiet (aside from that they're talking loudly, which seems to be the natural case for kids)...then the twerp that keeps riding his gas-powered scooter up/down the street came along.

Instantly the kids yelled:

"THAT'S TOO NOISY! GO AWAY!"

*pauses and reflects in the following silence*

A bit hypocritical of them, isn't it?
