Blame the wisdom teeth!

Well, after the lame morning at the doctor's office, then spending most of the day being too tired to *do* anything, I've gone and made the situation a whole lot more interesting. While snacking, I got a bit of food stuck back in the periodically-irritated area far back by my right-upper wisdom tooth, so I reached back, pulled at the food, and promptly removed a chunk of tooth.

Trust me. It was tooth. I know this because, reaching back there, I feel a distinct area where there now isn't tooth, but used to be. I also find that I've developed a very interesting sinus-area headache and that my jaw hurts. (This is all in complete accord with what Emily warned me might be the problem based on her own experience!)

*sigh* No more putting it off. I'll be calling the dental surgeon in the morning and scheduling that wisdom tooth extraction ASAP...at least I have very nice antibiotics to keep things from getting totally out of control in the meantime, and the knowledge that having the damned teeth removed stopped Em's sinus problems!

I must add, before anybody chides me, that I've been to the dentist between every 6 months and each year all along. Normally I have no problems at all -- I've had a few cavities filled, but not much compared to most people I know, and I usually am told my teeth are doing very well. Problem is that I ignored the warning that I "really should" get the wisdom teeth removed, mostly because it involved going to a new doctor, having general anesthetic (which terrifies me) and otherwise more f*ing surgery. :-p
