Somebody forgot the "volume" knob...

Arrgh. I live about four blocks from my old high school and evidently tonight was the beginning of their football season -- I know this because they have the speaker volume cranked so insanely high that I can hear every single fricking word that the announcer says clearly from inside my house. Is that really necessary? Aren't they worried that they're going to destroy the hearing of anybody actually at the game?

I wonder where I'd go to complain about this... I know they need a PA system for the games and all, but this is totally insane. I feel sorry for the folks living directly across the street from the field, because if it's this bad four blocks away, it must be absolutely deafening that close up.

I believe the police would be the ones to contact. There are probably noise ordinances in place, and after 8 or 10 pm there are probably 'quiet hours' when you can't make much noise.

The volume is probably set to '11'. :)
