Course Notes
The Redline Cup course will offer a mix of surfaces and transitions; approximately 30% gravel/hardpack, 20% turf, 30% pavement, 20% soft dirt.  At least one natural runup.  Venue is mostly flat with some elevation changes.

Rain is likely in December.  Soil tends to be heavy clay.  If dry, fast tires will be handy.
One pit will be provided with two entrances, per UCI rules.  No neutral support planned.
Minoura sponsored warmup tent with trainers provided - first come first served.  Campus also has various sheltered overhangs.
Course setup is late Saturday -- no pre-rides allowed.
Course subject to change depending on weather conditions.
Pro team parking - TBA.  Set up tents in expo area only.  No tents on playing fields please.
Hot showers and restrooms available onsite.

Racing Rules
Elite/U23 Men, Elite Women, and Juniors will be run under UCI rules.  Riders are responsible for knowing all UCI rules, including:
- CX bikes only (700c tires, 35c max width, drop bars)
- Lapped riders may be pulled. Riders lapped on the final lap may be assigned a finish ranking at referees' discretion.
- Bike and wheel exchanges in pit only
- International licenses required for Elite/U23 Men only (see notes below)

Callups for starting grid will be based on UCI international standings (Elite men only), followed by national calendar points standings (men, women and Juniors), then Redline Cup standings, until first two rows of grid are complete (total 16 riders).  Precise call-up order to be determined by chief ref.

All other cats are run under USCF cyclocross rules.
- MTBs are OK but forward-facing bar ends must be removed or turned backwards.
- Top 10 riders in Redline Series points will be called up for the start grid, at chief ref discretion.

All riders must wear a helmet whenever on the bike.

Registration
Pre-reg (online and paper) are both closed.  Register on site on race day (add $5 late fee to pre-reg fees listed on front page).
All riders must show license (as noted in rules below) and sign USAC release form at race site.
If you are buying a license onsite make sure to bring ID (passport or birth certificate).

Field Limit 100 riders in all groups.
Online pre-reg is closed. (was at Active.com, open through Weds. December 4)
Paper mail pre-reg is closed. (Must be postmarked by Weds. Nov 27.)
No discounts or refunds.

License and Category Notes - Read Carefully!
UCI Licenses:
UCI licenses (USAC International License) are required at this event for Elite/U23 Men only.  All others need USAC domestic license (NORBA or USCF).
No one-day UCI licenses are available, but you may purchase an annual license on-site, subject to approval of chief referee.
Licenses purchased at the event are good through the end of 2003 per chief ref Jim Crompton, so buy now.
Note! A passport or birth certificate is required (per USAC rules) to apply for a international license.
Save time--Print and fill out your application form (available here) before coming.
Foreign athletes note - international licenses issued by other countries are valid at this event -- no new license required.
CX Nats Riders note - The same license requirements (International for Elite Men and U23, Domestic for Women & Junior) will be in effect at CX Nationals the next week. (updated 11/21)

Elite and U23 Men:
For elite and U23 men, USAC International License is required (or, for foreign nationals, an international license from another country).
U23 riders are age 19-22 based on your Dec. 31, 2003 racing age (not current 2002 age) per UCI rules.
The Elite/U23 race is a USAC national ranking event, awarding points to the top 5 places according to USAC worlds team selection rules.
Elite/U23 race is a combined event. Rider placings will not be separated; points and prizes awarded by finish order regardless of category, per USAC policy.  U23 riders will be indicated in results for reference.

No one-day licenses available for Elite/U23 Men.
On-site purchase of annual licenses may be available subject to approval of chief referee -- see above

Elite Women:

Non-elite categories are self selected; no minimum category requirement.
