Bulbophyllum echinolabium
Check out this monster! Often measuring 11-12 inches tip to tip. Flowers bloom successively three to four times. Flowers last about a week but the same inflorescense will produce flowers for over a month. Will bloom 3-4 times a year. How many times have you see this one offered? Interesting fragrance!. Likes it intermediate to warm with moderate to bright light. Keep on the humid side.

Bulbophyllum facetum
Silver dollar-size flowers look like something between B. lobbii and D. dearii. Flower seems to open and close at will - like a moring glory closes at night and opens during the day. Prefers warmer temperatures and moderate light.

One of the ones that gives bulbophyllums a reputation for malodoressness (is that a word?). Large flowers are absolutely gorgeous, BUT beware of your sensative nose. Bulbophyllum hematipes
Another interesting bulbophyllum from Southeast Asia. It likes intermediate temperatures and moderate light. It appreciates high humidity. Fairly small plant that doesn't take up much space. Flowers are a little larger than a quarter and blooms well above the foliage.

Bulbophyllum jacobsonii

Wow! One of the more interesting plants from the Philippines and Sumatra. Small plant with leaves about 3". The inflorescence is produced laterally or sometines pendant well out of the foliage. Remarkable in that the dorsal is less than 1/3" long, the petals are smaller yet, but fringed, and the most outstanding feature are the sepals which are pendant and drop about 3 1/2". Prefers intermediate to warm temperatures with moderate light. Be the first on your block to own one of these wonders.
