John Navarro was born and raised in San Francisco. At the age of 12 years old, John began studying martial arts and received his first black belt at the age of 19 years. Through many years of continued practice, John has achieved the level of 5th degree black belt. In 1972 John came to Santa Rosa and opened Navarro's Karate Academy.

Teaching young and old people the values of martial arts, honesty, integrity, self-confidence and physical fitness has been John's life. Community involvement, including countless hours of volunteer work, lectures and demonstrations shows John has a deep interest in people and a concern for their well-being. In 1983 John received his real estate license and began using his personal principles and philosophies to meet the needs of his clients. Due to time limitations, John sold his Karate studio in 1988, but continues to teach and compete privately.

John feels that his real estate success is related to his 23 years in business and his community involvement. His long list of contacts has become a wonderful source for client referrals. His sales techniques are based on hard work and genuine concern. John advertises extensively, and in the last few years has sold over $30 million in real estate.

Over the years, John has received many awards. When first starting out in 1983, John received an award for "Rookie of the Year!". Another award for "Best Creative Material!" cited his imaginative use of radio promotions, color print and TV advertising. John has received awards such as "Top Producer", "Most Overall Activity" , "Most Closed Escrows" and was honored with being in the top 5% of sales for Coldwell Banker nationwide in July of 1991.

John appreciates the strong exposure he gets from RE/MAX, a worldwide company. He employs a personal assistant and computer operator who tracks the needs of each client. John is connected to a network of tradesmen who assist home owners, and John's property management company with plumbing, carpentry, repairs or moving.
