Classic 9" Tonearm
A Tonearm beyond offering flawless performance, should also be pleasing to look at. Since the primary functions of any arm are to hold the cartridge securely perpendicular to the record, and let it move freely at the preferred stylus force, it should be able to do this with the fewest parts. Hence the simplicity.
These
hand-crafted arms are available in two versions: effective lengths of 9" and
12". 
Both have
a radial ball bearing for resistance-free swiveling with adjustments for cartridge
overhang, azimuth, VTA, and stylus force.
The 9" arm has an anti-skate device, although if your turntable and armboard are properly leveled this may not be needed. The arms arm made from Natural Cherry wood because it's stable, hard, and nice to look at. Different woods may produce different sounds, but Cherry has a open musical character that works well for a tonearm. Allowing you the ability to listen to your vinyl for hours without "fatigue".
All
the adjustments are there. The leads can be pulled through the tubing as needed;
the arm can be raised or lowered to make it parallel to the record; the counterweight
slides back and forth for the proper tracking force; the anti-skate device is
a monofilament line with one or two weights at the end (although I've found
that with proper levelling of your turntable it may need no weights at all).
The arm swivels on a radial ball bearnig and the fulcrum for
the the see-saw movement is conrolled by the pointed pins which rest against
a brass sleeve within another brass sleeve. The pins can be tightly secured
against the inner sleeve still allowing free movement of the arm. The slots
in the headshell allow overhang adjustment.
The only difference between the 9" and 12" arm is the length. And the counterweight is heavier. The 12" does not need any skating correction (due to the extra length and reduced offset angle), otherwise construction is identical. In case you were wondering, the rear horizontal pin is for removing the arm from the record.
