Windows 95, 98, NT Control Panel

Click on the 'Start' button, go to 'Settings,' and choose 'Control Panel.' Double-click on the 'Modems' icon. A panel like this one will appear:

Click on 'Properties,' and then click on the 'Connection' tab.

Click on 'Advanced.'

Place the init string in the 'Extra settings' box.
