This guide outlines setting up a wireless connection for an Apple OS 10.4 computer with wireless networking drivers already installed. Screen shots may vary with different versions of OS X. Getting Wireless Network Information from Zoom Modem
Take a look at the bottom of your Zoom X6 Modem. In the bottom, right hand corner of your modem you will see two pieces of information: the SSID and WEP key. See the red arrows below to help locate these items. The SSID identifies your individual wireless network, while the WEP key allows to connect to the network and keep information encrypted for your security. We will need both to connect to the network.

Note: Your SSID and WEP Key will vary from the ones pictured here.
Setting up the Connection on your Computer
Click on the airport wireless icon in the top right corner of your screen and choose the name of your Zoom's SSID from the list of options in the drop-down menu. In this image, the name is zoom0061, but yours may vary.

This should bring up the Airport wireless connection window. From the Wireless Security drop-down menu, choose WEP40/128-bit hex. In the Password field, type in the WEP Key that can be found printed on the bottom of your Zoom Modem. Check the Remember password in my keychain option and click the OK button.

You should now be connected to your Zoom X6 and be able to surf the internet.
