Eudora 5 setup and configuration
- The first time you execute Eudora 5.0, you will enter the New Account
Wizard click Next.

- Unless you have a previously configured e-mail client select Create a
brand new email account, click Next

- The entry for Your Name: will be appended to all outgoing e-mail,
and can be whatever you like. Click Next
Note: If you have concerns of privacy, do not use your full real
name.

- Enter your valid Sonic.net E-mail address, and click Next

- Enter your Sonic.net Login Name:, and click Next.

- Enter pop.sonic.net for Incoming Server, and select
POP click Next.

- Enter mail.sonic.net for Outgoing Server, click
Next.

- Click Finish.

- To edit your Eudora settings, go to the Tools menu, to
Options...

- On the Getting Started category, set your choice of Real
Name, your Sonic.net e-mail address for Return Address:,
pop.sonic.net is the Mail Server(Incoming):, enter your
Sonic.net username for Login Name:, and mail.sonic.net is the
SMTP Server (Outgoing).

- On the Checking Mail category, to avoid the 15 minutes of
percieved inactivity dissconection, set to Check for mail every 10
Minute(s), also check Don't Check without a network connection.

- Sonic.net's Server Configuration is POP, it is not
recomended to leave mail on server unless you need to recieve the
mail at multiple computers. Our Authentication style: is by
Passwords.

- On the Sending Mail category set a Valid e-mail address
for your Return address:.

- On the Internet Dialup Category, set the Entry Field to
your Sonic.net Dial up Networking Connection.

- The other categories are for personal preferences, and should not affect
your Sonic.net e-mail delivery.
