Eudora 5.2 Setup

  1. After installing Eudora 5.2 per the instructions at the Eudora Website, double-click on your Eudora icon. Eudora will begin prompting you for information. At the end of this process, it will be configured to handle your Sonic.net email. Click "Next" to get started.

  2. Eudora will need to know what you expect of it, so select "Create Brand New Email Account" and click "Next."

  3. Enter your name and click "Next."

  4. Enter your Sonic.net email address and click "Next."

    Step 4
  5. You will be prompted for your Login Name. This is your Sonic.net account name. This should be all lowercase, with no spaces. Click "Next" to continue.

  6. Your incoming mail server is named "pop.sonic.net" and is a POP server. Enter this information and click "Next."

    Step 6
  7. Your outgoing mail server when connected through Sonic.net is "mail.sonic.net" and requires no authentication. Enter this information and click "Next."

    Step 7
  8. Once you have provided the above information, Eudora is ready to send and receive mail through Sonic.net. Click "Finish" to wrap it up.
