Bookbinding

  • A coating of Thread Heaven® will help protect binding thread from the acids and chemicals found in many specialty papers. This is especially important if you are binding hand-made papers, many of which contain interesting organic materials and dyes.

    Paper Arts

  • To avoid the matted down look you get when attaching decorative fibers and fabric with adhesive, use silk or metallic thread to couch or tack them to your cards or pages. They will retain all of their texture and dimension and remain securely attached years longer. A coating of Thread Heaven makes decorative thread extremely easy to work with, dramatically increases their lifetime and protects their color and sheen.
  • Thread Heaven produces an extremely slick coating which reduces thread drag and allows thread to pass through thick papers without denting and through thin paper without tearing.
  • Using Thread Heaven when machine sewing on paper will help prevent skipped stiches.
