I am an embedded software engineer with 14+ years of experience. Most of my experience has been in the telecom and datacom industries to date.

My engineering work has covered a number of areas including:

• adding protected memory management for vxWorks.
• designing and implementing a high availability solution for Nortel's Meridian 1 PBX series.
• creating an active diagnostics package to aid in board/package bring up during development.
• creating a file system for use by a system monitering package.
• creating BSPs to bootstrap prototype and production boards.

• Created and maintained a build procedure using make files, SCCS package (PLS, Clearcase) and GNU tools. Essentially a Release Coordinator for a number of different projects.
• Worked with a number of Manufacturing Teams to both set up testing and validation procedures for product verification and to iron out problems that have cropped up upon a new product release.
• On the software side, assisted the Integration Team to iron out problems in integrating our (Operating System Team) fixes with fixes in other groups.
• Worked with Field Support when problems have been escalated, and have "babysat" at some first deployments of new products at customer sites.
