First thing to do is bookmark the site so you don't have to remember and enter the address every time you want to come back.
Minimum screen size in pixels should be 800x600. Recommended size is 1024x768. Minimum pixel depth should be 8 bits. At 4 bits (256 colors) some text is not readable against the background textures To navigate scroll the contents window in the left frame and then click on the date bar. To return from links or footnotes use your browser's back button. You do not have to stay on line to read. Once an issue appears in your browser's window that means the document is cached somewhere on your system. Go to the menu bar and save the document in a folder or directory. You can then read the document offline. If you save it as .htm (or .html) you can open it up with your browser (the file/open/document command) and the internal links will work. If you want the graphics then save the images in the same place. That includes the background images. The code will not look for anything ouside its own directory. You can also save issues as text (without the code) and open it in any word processor. Then you could print it out to read at your leisure or pass on to a less fortunate brother or sister who is not online or does not even have a computer. But be cautious when recycling it as toilet paper. Some of the inkjet printers still use water soluble inks. |
