The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is an international toll-free consulting service that provides information about job accommodations and the employability of people with disabilities. JAN also provides information regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
When JAN receives a call, it is processed by a human factors consultant. These individuals are highly qualified with backgrounds in a variety of disability-related fields. The consultant interviews the caller in order to assess the specific job needs and provides the caller with comprehensive information. JAN's resources are targeted toward solving work-related problems in a way that meets the needs of the employer and the employee. All information is kept strictly confidential.
