These images were taken after a disastrous Saturday night where I tripped on my STV cables necessitating a 6 hour drive Sunday to purchase a replacement. Sunday was also the start of the San Andreas forest fire 5 miles off. Smoke played tag with the stars all night.
Technical info: All images Hypered Kodak PPF400 f6.5 with C11 and GEG Autoguided with SBIG STV and Lumicon 2.5X focal reducer at f10 pickoff. Exposure times ranged from 50 minutes for the Helix Nebula and 40 minutes for the Horsehead to 15 minutes for Orion-- cut short due to sunrise. Images are 300 DPI scans from a 1 hour photoshop prints processed with Photoshop and BGsmooth
