I'm on my knees
      in grace
bowing low
head to the floor
      awaiting you

I lift my eyes
Why do you even look upon me?
Why do you consider me?
What of me attracted your attention?
What of me appeals to you?
I feel so dejected
that I don't understand it
Why me?

I'm filthy
my clothes are covered in dust
I taste it in my mouth
lying crumpled in a heap
      at your feet

Yet you are perfect.
My god.
You are pristine.
Your very being screams perfection.
Not the perfection of others
but my kind:
dark eyes looking down,
shimmering with light
      of knowing
      of past grievances

I roll over
      flail slowly
look upon you
as you gaze downward
      on me
I can't breathe
You amaze me so
It almost doesn't feel right
that you should see me

But you do

Come to me
Meet me
Cast your glow
Let me bathe in it
      in you
Fill myself in you
Ingest

I only want to please you.
