About Us

___Kimberly Jacobs was formerly a secretary-chauffeur for the Italian Contessa, Marilina degli Alberti della Marmora from the region of Piedmont, Italy. While traveling through Europe together, the Contessa introduced her to many wonderful families, one of whom was the Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta. The Incisa's have a long and glorious history in the Monferrato region of Piedmont where they have produced Barbera, Pinot Noir, and Merlot grapes for centuries. The family took Kimberly under their wing and embraced her as a life-long friend, teaching her about wine making, cooking, and " La Dolce Vita."

___She returned frequently to receive advanced degrees in Italian and Art History. In 1999, after a summer visit to the Incisa's, they inspired Kimberly to found Il Grappolo Wine Tours with the intent of sharing the beauty and richness of Italy's distinctive wine growing regions with others of like interest.
