The Confederate Flag…A Heritage Worth Celebrating
By Robert L. Rush
The Fourth of July is a special holiday in America…a time to celebrate our heritage and honor our flag. Yet as I write this millions of our brethren are suffering the repression of their heritage and the dishonoring of their flag. Under pressure from the NAACP and their allies in the liberal media, South Carolina has removed the Confederate battle flag from it's capitol building.
WAKE UP AMERICA! South Carolina is just the latest battleground in a campaign all across the South in which citizen patriots are waging a valiant, yet (so far) losing defense of their heritage against outside agitators looking to crush the last vestiges of a once proud nation. For, just as the American flag is a symbol of our heritage and our struggle for liberty, the Confederate flag represents the valiant struggle and sacrifice in what is now correctly called The War for Southern Independence, when the South rose up as one and said, "We will not allow you to trifle with our way of life in the name of 'human rights'". The flag speaks to us of a simpler, more civilized time…a time when, as a friend of mine from South Carolina puts it, "We-all owned you-all". Now that heritage is in peril, in danger of being trampled under the boot of political correctness.
In many ways this outside meddling in the affairs of the state of South Carolina reminds me of a recent international incident, in which our government sanctioned the nation of Austria after it's leader committed the "unthinkable" crime of expressing admiration for one of his country's native sons, Adolph Hitler. Now, I know that the liberal media has given Hitler a pretty bad rep, but I think it should be pointed out that it was Hitler who stepped up to the plate and stopped Stalin in his tracks in Eastern Europe (only to have it handed back to him on a platter by those closet pinkos Truman and Churchill). The parallel's in the two situations are obvious…I think it's hardly a coincidence that so many of our fellow countrymen hang both flags side by side.
We can no longer stand by and watch the obliteration of this proud heritage. That's why I'm issuing a call to action…pick up the standard and wave it proudly. March it through every neighborhood in this nation…from Watts to Harlem. Let the rebel yell ring from Dixie straight into the heart of the enemy. All glory to the South!
Because it's Right
Because it's the Truth
Because I said so!
