Real Solutions to Teen Pregnancy

The epidemic of teenage pregnancy that is sweeping across this country is of deep concern to myself as well as all real Americans. A lot has been said and written about the decline of morals and the tragedy of "children raising children".

But the truth is there is a much larger danger lurking in this cesspool of illicit fornication. It is a matter of common knowledge that teen pregnancy breeds the twin scourges of modern society…welfare and abortion. I'm sure I don't have to tell you the damage these two offspring of the liberal culture of promiscuity have done to the moral and social fiber of this nation, not to mention the economic consequences of using ill-gotten tax dollars to fund this depravity. And it is well-documented that the result of these mistakes are cyclical...that the children of unwed pregnancies become teen parents themselves…clogging our welfare roles and our prison system. And worse than that, damn few of them grow up to vote Republican.

WAKE UP AMERICA! This cycle of unlicensed lust has to be broken for good. I know what you're thinking, America. How can we hope to stem the tide when the sexual urge is one of the strongest impulses known to humanity, especially among those genetically less sophisticated members of the species. The answer is to appeal to the strongest of human impulses, the impulse for self-preservation. We need a deterrent strong enough to curb the sexual urges of hormone-charged teenagers. That is why I propose implementing the death penalty for unwed mothers. Extreme, you say? I say to you, is any price to high to stop this cycle of intercourse run amok. Besides, they're not your kids, so how high a price is it, really?

Let me answer in advance those smug liberal naysayers who will argue that this severe a deterrent will only increase the demand for abortions. As usual, they just don't get it. Since we pro-lifers know that life begins at conception, obviously so does motherhood. The dilemma is how to enforce the law without harming the unborn fetus. The answer is quite simple. A stay of execution shall be granted until the pregnancy is brought to term. Once birth has occurred, sentence can be carried out and the child placed up for adoption. While the child waits for adoption they can be placed in an institution (run by the private sector of course) where they might learn useful job skills, such as making silicon chips. The sale of the chips would more than cover the cost of the program. That's the real beauty of my plan…welfare and abortion virtually abolished and a nice boost to the economy. A win/win situation.
