Welcome to the Nor Cal Home page! These pages are part
of an on going project subsidized by the Northern California Women's Gymnastics
Association. Their purpose is to provide information about Nor Cal and the sport
of Artistic Gymnastics for our members and the gymnastics community at large.
You'll find lots of Nor Cal specific information here as well as links to many
other gymnastics resources out on the Net. These pages will be under
construction for some time, so check back often!
If you have any questions or input of any kind,
just e-mail us at bjcorr@sonic.net or bill@gymtowne.com

For those that knew and cherished Kim Bird,
NorCal ,
It is with great sadness that I report that Kim Bird, (Owner
of Tumbleweeds, National Judge, AZ USAG Board Member, NCAA Judge, and much more)
passed away last night of complications from Valley Fever.
There is a great bio on their website at www.tumbleweedsaz.com
Please pass on the information to those who knew
him, and keep him, his family, friends and gymnasts in your thoughts and
prayers.
Respectfully,
Perry Siu

USA Gymnastics Background Screening - IMPORTANT UPDATE
From your friends at USAG;
Please post and forward the following important information to the Northern
California gymnastics community:
Please
find the attached updates on the mandatory Background Screening for
Professional Members, which will be required starting with new and renewed
memberships in December. The site is planned to be available beginning
November 12. ALL PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS SHOULD REVIEW THE INFORMATION, AND
ALLOW EXTRA PROCESSING TIME TO RENEW PRO MEMBERSHIPS. Professional
Members must now include this Background Screening, in addition to Membership
Fees and Safety Certification, to be allowed on the floor of any USA
Gymnastics Event. If a Pro Member's expiration date is in December, or
for anyone needing membership in the next two months, I highly recommend that
she or he begin the renewal process once it becomes available next week.
