The clipped point Bowie shape make the Defender a perfect fighting and survival knife. The blade is ground on both the top and bottom making the cross section of the blade a diamond shape. This takes a weight out and makes it fast and fierce. The blade was ground from 3/16" thick ATS-34 and hardened to 58-60 RC. Black micarta makes up the handle whith individual finger notches for positive grip. The Defender comes with a black hand stitched leather sheath.:
