The Canadian Bowie makes for a great camp and carry knife. Its large blade is 3/16" thick 1095 high carbon resistanct steel and given a gray oxide satin finish. The hardness along the cutting edge is about Rc 60 and along the spine about Rc 50. The handle is Hawaiian Currly Ironwood from the Big Island and the tang is full and tapered tang. The pommel is made from brass. The Canadian Bowie comes with a tooled brown leather sheath.
