The Camps Chef makes a great kitchen or camp chef knife. I've flat ground it from 3/32" 440C. This combination makes a thin cross section and ideal edge geometry for preparing food either at home or in the field. It has a full tang with thin black linen Micarta scales giving it a handle thickness of nearly 5/8 inch. The blade finish is hand sanded producing a nice satin appearance. The Camps Chef comes with a black leather blade sheath. The sheath friction fits to the blade so the knife can be transported without damage but has no loop, as it was not intended to be carried on a belt.
