The Blue Ridge hunter is made of 1/8" thick 1095 and differentially heat treated. The blade finish is browned, same as an old black powder rifle which helps to prevent the blade from rust and further darkening. The handle is deer horn with Rosewood and Puduke hardwood spacers.
