An Ulu is a traditional blade of the native Alaskans where
it is used for everything from skinning to food preparation.
The origins of its shape are said to come from shell knives made
before the introduction of steel. This one is made from a skill
saw blade with an antler tine attached for a handle. These
things still do a great job skinning, cutting pizza, mincing garlic,
and cutting veggies. I've even used them to bone out chicken and was very
pleased with how easily it worked.
