  • Telrad Finder Sight - This is the single gadget that helped me find stuff when I first got my telescope. Nothing is better than a unity finder (non-maginifying).
Books I Take with Me Everytime I'm Observing
  • Guide to Astronomical Wonders - This book is terrific for figuring out what to look for, why it's interesting and important and help finding it.
  • Pocket Sky Atlas - This is a sky atlas that's just about perfect for keeping next to me while observing to get me into the correct constellation and to nearby stars.

Apple iPhone

  • Klipsch Image S4 headset - My current favorite headset for my iPhone. The sound is full and the noise isolation is good with the stock rubber plugs. I really like the 3 button control.
  • Foam Tips for Klipsch Image S4 headset - The sound isolation with these foam tips is really terrific. Recommened for riding in a convertable or an airplane!
  • UE Earphones w/Mic - wired earphones with a microphone. Ultimate Ear is the a name brand but I think these are little light on bass.
  • Plantronics Voyager PRO Bluetooth headset - Just a simple Bluetooth headset that works perfectly with my iPhone for making calls.
  • Multi-Use Car Charger - Here's a way to increase the number of sockets available in the car for your portable electronics.
  • iPhone Portable Power - This is a way to keep your iPhone charged when away from an AC or USB plug.

    These shade tents are terrific! Easy to setup and takedown and very strong. Use tie downs for the strongest of winds.

    A nice tent for two.

    A nice hot camp stove with two burners.
  • Folding Table
    A folding table that actually fits in its storage bag! Easy to setup and sturdy. Can be used with the camp stove because it's made of a lightweight metal.
  • Tarp, 10x12 silver
    Block the morning sun with these tarps. They fit nicely on the sides of the EZ-Up.
