Editor's Pick Sometimes when we run across an interesting/unusual/informative book, especially an old and out-of-print one, we like to bring it to your attention. Here's one, or in this case an entire series: Despite a plethora of books covering operations in Norway during 1940, remarkably little space is devoted to Norwegian forces in English-language works about the campaign. For those who want to do more than just scratch the surface, this series from Oslo contains unsurpassed detail. Although written entirely in Norwegianwhich can be daunting for researchers without some background in Scandinavian languagesthe volumes also include much in the way of maps, photos, and OB material.

News from S. C. Heal "Thought you might like a little advance notice that Vanwell will be releasing Ugly Ducklings: Japan's Liberty Ship of WWII, sometime this Fall. It will be somewhat similar to Great Fleet of Ships, although a smaller book. It will be dealing fairly intensively with the Japanese version of their 10,000 wartime emergency standard freighter known as the Type-A. It will feature a complete fleet list of all 150 ships of the type and will cover territory that I believe has never been covered before in the English language."
