The Intermountain History Group is an informal focus of geographic and linguistic energies, very roughly headquartered in the region "west of Pecos." It is preparing a series of web-sites devoted to an interactive, non-nationalistic feeling for what conflict has been like in the parts of America north of the Isthmus of Panama. So far, there have been three sites:
