Kayaking in Morro Bay with
our dog, Bailey

We love animals. Andy and I feel that raising children
around animals teaches them a lot they can't get anywhere else. They learn
what it is like to have someone that depends on you, someone you have to be
gentle with, someone you can't always communicate with and someone other than
mom and dad that loves you unconditionally. We have two dogs, Keisha and
Bailey. Keisha is a 8 year old chow-shephard mix that Andy brought home
from the animal shelter. She is extremely patient and loving. Due to
her size and the fact that she sheds quite a bit she is usually outside.
She loves playing with Reily. Keisha will let Reily pat her, give her hugs
and rough house a bit. When she has had enough she just walks away.
Bailey, our other dog, is a Bichon Frise. He is 3 years old and a bundle
of energy. He usually stay inside. He, too, is great with Reily and
is a lot of fun to be with. He usually accompanies us on our vacations
and, as you can see above, he loves kayaking. In addition to the dogs we
have two birds, Stevie and Demi and two aquariums. Stevie is a
green-cheeked conure and Demi is a love bird. Reily is not quite old
enough to spend time with them but she enjoys watching from a distance when
Daddy takes them out of their cages.
