California and the Bay Area are great areas for travel. We are fortunate
to live close enough to San Francisco that we can visit many different places on
a day trip. In the past year we have been out to the coast, the redwoods,
museums, discovery centers, zoos and science halls. In addition we take at
least two trips a year down to visit Andy's family on the Central Coast, and one
big trip somewhere. Last year we had just gotten our new playset and
wanted to spend more time at home so we chose the beach, the year before that
was Disneyland and this year we are talking about Hawaii. Our jobs give us
quite a bit of flexibility in our working hours and several weeks of vacation a
year. Our focus is on spending time together and we do our best to make
family time a priority.
