We are blessed with a great extended family.  Our new baby will have two adoring grandmothers, and an assortment of loving cousins, second cousins, aunts and uncles.  On any holiday you can find our house festively decorated, full of family members enjoying time together, food and fun.  Omi, Andy's mom, and her sisters and brothers were born in Germany.  This gives us a unique opportunity to participate in their traditions and culture.  Every Christmas, Omi makes gingerbread houses with the grandkids and we put out polished shoes for St. Nicholaus.  In addition to our original families, we have inherited, through friendship, two more aunts and four more cousins who live less than five minutes away from our house.  Our new baby will be surrounded by lots of loving family and friends.
